Ask him about himself, what he does for a living, how long has he lived where he is at now. This will bring about a subject you and him can talk about. Good luck.

Talk about general things and try not to get to personal, because it is only the first date. Ask where his fav vacation spot is..., what his earliest memory as a kid was...just light fun stuff that will start a long conversation. That will get you to know him and visa versa.
Be yourself and don't overly talk about yourself! Have fun!!!!

ANYTHING, the sports he likes his friends his job/school his family, the news, the media, really anything will work. Ask him about HIMSELF, guys love that and that will keep the chatter moving!!!! Plus it shows him that you are interested in him, and that you're not self-centered!!! that's always a good thing! have fun tonight, and remember, relax!!!

Religion and Politics...
If he bolts it was never meant to be... If he stays, he's yours forever...
I would suggest you talk about common interest... What a great restaurant you're going to.. What a cool car he has? What does he want to do in life? What hobbies you have in common?

you should never have a topic prepicked, I have tried it and it does not work very well, just talked about whatever comes to mind and the conversation will flow naturally

When you ask someone out? Well all you say is nothing just keep on getting to know him and letting him know you! You let him ask, not you!
