Family vacation campground across from the Christmas Shop on Roanoke Island in Manteo. Sixty sites are available, including 20 with shade and 40 with hookups for RVs. Reservations are accepted, and leashed pets are allowed. Recreational facilities at Cypress Cove include a playground, basketball court, batting cage, horseshoe pits, a nature trail with a wildlife lookout, and a fishing pond stocked with bass, bream, and catfish where no fishing license is required. Hot showers, restrooms, picnic tables, grills, a dump station, and county drinking water also are on the premises. Six sites have sewer facilities. Laundry facilities are a walk away at a nearby shopping center.
