They can tell the difference between male and female because they can detect sex hormones in urine.
Detox is another question. It depends on what you have been taking that you're concerned about. Most of the time, you're just s.o.l. because they can detect whatver you took and whatever you took to 'get rid of it' in your system. Just drink lots of water to flush out as much of whatever it is you're trying to hide out of your system, and hope for the best.

The only way they can tell a difference is if the woman is either pregnant or on her menstraul cycle. One of the things i have always used is slo-niacine. Not just niacine. The night before take two pills and alot of water. 1 hour before leaving for drug test take one more. Slo niacin will burn itself out of your system in one hour. But it will make you turn really red and really hurt like you have sun-burn for a short bit.

Gender can be tested for by hormonal levels. Detox chemicals can be tested for as well.
Stay clean and you don't have to worry about it.
