I did something once that my boyfriend absolutely LOVED. Now you said you don't want "physical", but do you mean just sexually? Because a massage is a great way to show him intimacy and pampering without having to be sexual.
Here's what I did....
He came home from work and was greeted with the aromatherapy incense filling the house with nice, relaxing scents.
I drew him a bath, with candles all around the tub. And it was just for him. Guys NEVER do things like this for themselves, so he would never think to do it, which makes it all the more special.
While he was soaking, I put the biggest, fluffiest towel into the dryer to warm up for when he got done.
Then, we went into the bedroom (or you can use the couch if you'd rather not give him any sexual ideas) and I had him put the towel across his midsection and lay on his stomach (just like they'd do at a massage parlor). I warmed up some oil (I did this in the microwave also while he was soaking), you can use baby oil or any massage oil. And then I gave him a nice massage. I also had some candles burning here, too. Along with some soft music playing.
When we were all done, he got dressed and took me out to a nice dinner, which was his gift to me.
It was SO nice, because he was totally relaxed and de-stressed. We had one of the best dates ever that night. :)
Hope this helps. And, Happy Anniversary!

thats a hard one. um... u could borrow $$$. or r u an artist? then u could give him a pic of him that u drew. im always broke and i make my friends presents, like bracelets, key-chains,
or u could make like a 6 month anniversery srcapbook, that'd be cute.
but 2 be honest, if i were u, i would just tell him. that u dont have the kind of $$ wit u right now, but if u did then u'd get him something so wonderful, he'll never forget it. cause the important thing is that u have feelings for each other, and if he cant understand that, then he's just not worth it.
hope this helps, good luck.

How about writing him a poem or a reallly nice note telling him he is the love of your life and he is the sun and you are the moon, etc.?????
When I was in college my girlfriend used to write me stuff like that all the time. Love notes with drawings were my favorite. I kept them for a long time until I moved in with my present wife. She made me throw it out, which I didn't mind. However, my former girlfriend ended up becoming a well-known authoress??!!! I wish I still had all of the those love notes!! They might be worth something on E-bay!!

eek! I feel your pain chica....my 6-month w/my b/f will be on Nov.6......all I can say is this....I know you've made him dinner before, but it can be done again, more elaborate and more romantic....you could give him a back rub (I know you said nothing physical but I'm running low on ideas here, sry) If that won't work, and nobody else gives you any ideas, be honest w/him and tell him you're broke....if he loves you, he'll understand!
