what exactly would 'overdoing it' entail?

Showing inerest is great , and even asking someone out on a date is good to, but overdoing it is very easy.....and bad. If a guy knows that you really really like him and thinks he can have you whenever he wants no matter how he treats you, he will take advantage of you and your need for him.
It's ok to flirt and show interest, but don't be needy.

If we are not interested in the first place, then it is easy to overdo it. But if you are attractive, or we are interested in the least then it is tough to overdo it. A woman who expresses interest is attractive to most men. I would love it if more women would act like men in this way.
Overdo it? Maybe if you kept showing up at my house uninvited or bought me gifts or something.

HI! I'm not a man, but I've had men tell me that they are flattered when a woman goes after them, but if she starts calling/emailing/texting too much, then he starts feeling pressured and loses interest.
