I do believe this myth was created by those who ruled in order to encourage people to become meek and thus not threaten their power. This is called a 'tyranny of truth'. They threatened people with eternal damnation in order to scare them into submission. After all, the first major proliferator of christiany in Europe was the holy roman empire, which was forged from the roman empire which persecuted both the jews and the first christians. Does anyone agree. If so tell me your thoughts.

they will be doing something you cant do celebrating the return of their savior jesus christ and singing praises to him while the unsaved who refused to accept jesus as their savior are tortured in hell
