The doctor will check you to see what size your cervix is and give you one that fits. You take it home and every time you have sex you will have to fill it up with spericidal jelly and put it in. I had one, it was messy and I never got it in right and then just said oh, forget it. It works if you learn to use it correctly and use it every time. Its a rubber cap that fits over your cervix to prevent sperm from getting inside and impregnating you.

Its a rubber cap that is fitted for your bady that is placed over the cervix to block sperm from entering. Most of the time used with Spermicide for extra precaution!

Today they might be better, but about 18 years ago, my mother was using one and got pregnant with me. I would use it along with another method of birth control also, such as the pill, patch, a condom, or some kind of spermicide. Two methods are safer than one!
