You can find a picture of the female condom and see how the female condom is inserted by going to Your Birth Control Choices
Used correctly and consistently, female condoms are 79-95 percent effective against pregnancy, and they also reduce the risk of sexually transmitted infections. The female condom is a polyurethane (plastic) pouch with flexible rings at each end. It is inserted deep into the vagina. The ring at the closed end holds the pouch in the vagina. The ring at the open end stays outside the vaginal opening. The female condom collects semen before, during, and after ejaculation and keeps sperm from entering the vagina. The female condom is available at family planning centers, drugstores, and in some supermarkets.
Hope this information helps!

I think is what used to be known as a "diaphragm." It fits over the cervix and stops the sperm from entering it. A diaphragm was used with a spermicide to make sure no unwanted fella got in.

A Female Condom is a Plastic Cap that goes into the vagina and blocks the Cervix so semen can not pass thru. It is used with spermicide for extra caution.
