I can sympathize with your problem. As a nurse, I see this a lot in the nursing home and hospitals. There is a lot of controversy on the "right to die" issue. She does have the right to refuse any treatment, including tests, x-rays, medications, surgeries. I went through a similar experience after an emergency appendectomy that resulted in having part of my intestine removed. I wasn't ready to die yet. It is admirable that you want to save your grandma, but don't press it too hard. And tricking her is something she may hold against you later on if she survives. It is very hard to "let go" of our loved ones in their final days. I've seen CPR performed on the elderly with the sights of people pounding on their chests, pressing on brittle old bones and hearing them crack and break. It is absolutely sickening, and I will never forget it. Be sure that your grandma's final wishes are complied with. It may haunt you for the rest of your life if you don't.

Some times when an opled person begins to say these thing and refuses medical treatment, it could be the end, this is the way my mother sacted when she passed away at 76 yrs old, she stop taking her meds, stopped eating and evey night she would wake up saying that my dad was inviting her to go with him in her sleep, sure enough she passed away in a week.
I feelt for you
