God went and confused their language because they were trying to build a way into Heaven. So because their language was confused they were not able to achieve this goal.

The development of the tower exchange into an act of defiance against GOD. In consequence, they have been asserting they did no longer choose him and can desire to shield themselves. Their conceitedness knew no bounds. They have been attempting to defeat GOD, via combining their potential as a 'connect' human beings and not be scattered, so as that is precisely what GOD did. people who do no longer communicate a similar language won't be able to scheme undesirable issues mutually. they are not getting alongside the two. As Mexican electorate and individuals have shown. So, they actually further the confusion on themselves via their evil intentions. Their tower exchange into actual one among those idol or fairly an ALTAR they have been development that represented their worship of their very own egos.

As i understand it a king named Nimrod i believe had the people of his time build a tower tall enough to stand on and shoot an arrow into heaven ad slay god. so god knocked down the tower and confused the language so they could never understand each other and never do it again. That is how the story was told to me as a child.

According to the Bible, King Nimrod (ruler @ that time) was "a mighty hunter in opposition" to God. He wanted absolute power over man & that's why it was his idea to build the tower "with its top in the heavens"... as a tribute to himself. God did it as the only way to spread people out into the rest of the earth in different language groups & subsequent cultures. It was a humbling lesson for Nimrod & for anyone who thinks they can take the place of God.

because the humans had united and were trying to build a tower tall ebough for them to reach god--thus forcing a confrontation--it was like a threat, they thought that united they were more powerful than he was, and they were intent on proving it--what else would god have seen this as but an attempt to invade his place and attack him? Even though we know now that it never would have worked and all those fools would have done was pass out and have to stop building when the air got too thin, the intention was audacious, and god decided to teach them a lesson..

Wasnt it something to do with the Tower of Babel? The humans were building it high enough to reach Heaven and God didnt like it so he detroyed the tower and spread the humans across the world and made them speak different languages so they couldnt do it again.
Somthing to that effect.
Strange though, in todays world languages can be learned by everyone. So, if everyone can speak to everyone else then Gods plan didnt work. That sounds like a mistake. God screwed up again. Amazing how a perfect being can screw up so much and still be perfect

God confused our languages so that mankind would never again challenge God as the supreme being. When mankind all spoke the same language, the king of mankind believed that he was as great as God, therefore, he built the Tower of Babb (I spelled that wrong, I am sure) to go to heaven and challenge God as the supreme Being. God confused our languages so that we never again would all be able to understand one another and there fore, would not unite to challenge God as supreme.,

The people building the Tower of Babel were wanting to create a name for themselves, I do believe, and God had told them to cover the Earth (or something to that effect).

anytime someone wants to become equal to God, The Lord sents confusion. They wanted to build a tower that would reach into heaven remember, thats why God confused them.

because the people had deliberately disobeyed him when they failed to spread out over all the earth.
