Honest compliments are always appreciated. Not just, "You're beautiful," but something specific you like about her ... ie, "THAT smile! I love that smile. When you look at me with that smile, my heart always does a little flip!" or "You have the kindest eyes I think I've ever seen!" or "I love your wicked wit!"
If you are in, or hoping to enter into an exclusive relationship with her, tell her, "Time moves at a snail's pace (or "Time goes so slowly" or "Time just drags by") when I'm away from you." If you are dating more than one woman, this sounds hokey!
"Being with you makes everything more fun/bearable." (depending on the circumstances)
Mostly, what "works" are your honest (kind) thoughts and feelings. Clever lines are recognized as such, and (although you may get points for being witty) are dismissed by most women who have any intelligence.

I think RioMadeira is the only girl that would like to hear "want to split the bill". If a guy ever asked me that question it would be the last time he saw me.
I like to hear the truth no matter what it is but rarely do guys tell the truth.

Yes women like to hear that or anything that involves you thinking about them. Letting them know you true romantic side by showing them love too women like a lot of things but some are different than others

What do women like to hear? You've got it all wrong. That's where MANY guys get it all wrong.
What we want to hear? The truth. You think we're beautiful? Tell us. You want to break up? Say "It's over." (None of this let's be friend crap.)
Tell us the truth.. Don't try to tell us what YOU think we want to hear.

Stuff like that is good, but instead of calling her HOTT call her BEAUTIFUL, or just say things like you look really nice. Little things are the ones that you remember
