Sorry, but California IS WAY overrated....There are other prettier and much more affordable places in the US...

I emigrated to the US but do not want to live in Cali'.
I reside in Oregon which has 4 seasons, an abundance of trees, a great coastline, a nice city (Portland), great smaller towns and seemingly nicer people. I have met a LOT of Californians that relocate to Oregon so it seems after a while they move away from the State anyway.
I keep hearing how busy and competative life is there. It may not be all true but give me Oregon any day!

They might want to come to America but not necessarily California. However, I know there are plenty of people who are trying to get out of California. Many are moving north to enjoy the beauty, 4 seasons, less traffic and lower prices that are found in the Northwest!

I DID live in California, and it's a royal mess now compared to those times. Part of that is that they have NO control over runaway social spending, they've taken a really weak line over the years on immigration, and as a result, they run massive debts annually. Dead broke, running in the red, and taxing holy hell out of their citizens, not a winning combination...

We once lived in San Francisco,we loved it there 20 some years ago,but not now.its a shame but I would never want to live in Cali again.I live in Arizona and trust me that's too close.Although we have our own problems just like California does.

I hope not its expensive as hell I am an american and dont wanna live there gas is 1.00 higher there and the cost of living is stupid high. Must wana live in the desert part near the beach not in the city!

I live in California.
I don't think everyone dreams of living here.
If they do, they should think again. The cost of living here is ridiculous, and the weather ISN'T like they show on Baywatch!
