What do your parents expect of you? What do you think is reasonable?

I live only 2 blocks from my parents and only see them maybe once every 2 weeks.

I can only answer for myself, but my mother is living in a nursing home about 20mins walk from my house. I make a point of seeing her at least once a week.

I see them about once a week. I live about 2 miles away, if that. Sometimes I see them twice a week.

I live 15 minutes away from my parents but we talk every day at least to say good morning or good nigth if I didn't had time during the day to called them.. But either they come home one day during the week to eat dinner together & on the weekends either saturday we eat dinner together or sunday we eat lunch at their home or at a restaurant.. if not we called easch other every day.... I think they should expect for us to see them & take care of them like they did with us when we were kids... Once in a while they take care of our kids too... So since they will not accept $$$ at least I like to take some food like fruit, cereal, milk or any other food they like just like a way to say thanks for what they have done for us.... Also I like to take flower for both of them & place them in their kitchen table..that will make them feel good. I think at least to called them every day or every other day just to say hello will make them feel good !!!! Thank good we still have them alive !!!! :)

I think 2 times a month is plenty.
