"You may think that you have to combat evil and chase it out of your heart and mind, but this is wrong. The practice is to transform yourself. If you don't have garbage, you have nothing to use in order to make compost. If you have no compost, you have nothing to nourish the flower in you." Thich Nhat Hanh

Sure. I can learn from anyone, but I won't let anyone influence me to believe anything that is in contradiction with the bible. Many religions teach basically the same principles so that would be hypocritical to assume that a person has nothing to intelligent to offer me because he/she is a Buddhist.

Some people in here REALLY need to stop speaking for Christians. Talk for yourselves 'cause you don't know every Christian in the world. Now that I've said that, I'll answer the question. I will listen to anyone, but my belief and my foundation is based on the bible. I don't transform myself. I allow God to transform me into what He wants me to be. Thank you.

I was a christian then I realized that there are alot of other folks out there that are peaceful, introspective and kind that weren't . I cant believe that everyone who isn't christian is going to hell. The buddhist are fine with me and we can learn alot from their philosophy. peace!

I wouldn't mind. Buddhists are a peace-loving religion. I would love to know true peace, not just what we call "peace" in our minds, like peace treatys, they say they declare peace, but they still have conflict between them, and that is not peace

well, u see this is the problem. Relgion always thinks that you have to change or something must be changed. well, once again, it is wrong. God, the only God does not ask you to change if he wants the change, he will do it on you, not you on yourself. I hope you understand that. it is not about combat evil or chase him out of you heart and mind, is about to resist the evil and he will ran away from you.

Sorry - it is contrary to their teachings, and thus is wrong. Period, end of discussion.

Frightening really, because what youve posted makes way more sense...
