I know the feeling of this well. Get some L-lysine 1000mgs and take it every day. Just 1 tablet is all you need. It will take some time to get into your system but I can assure you after awhile it will certainly help. The other thing that I have found that works too is ice on the lesion. 4 times an hour for the first 3 hours if you can. Try not to get too stressed and stay out of the sun...both are triggers for cold sores.

Abreve works good if you start using it when you first feel it coming on.Go to your doctor and a Prescription {can not remember name] it will speed up the healing process.

L-lysine tablets found in the vitamin section of your grocery store and a prescription from your dentist for zovirax it is better than abreva!

I use coldsorex. You can get it without prescription and it is very good for healing fast.

carmex (not sure thats spelled right) is about the best thing,, all though if you are getting them on a regular basis you should go see your doctor about them,, cold sores are herpis b viris, he may be able to perscribe something to help limit the out breaks.

vit. " C " really it does the job. At the first sign take 2000 mg. ( alwas ck with your doc first ) but it does the job for me good luck
