I will be moving into a very large open spaced apartment that has nothing in it yet. I want to know of ways to make it really look like a home. I have a dog also that will be inside. I just remembered that I won't have a wall around my bed either. Help me please.

Arrange the furniture into smaller areas; office area, living room, dining room, etc. Put a screen in front of your bed/dressing area.
You might want more screens to attach photos to. Have someone hang one of those drapes around your whole bed, like they do with mosquito netting. It would look elegant.

you want to have a living area with couch TV against a wall a couch two big comfy chairs behind the couch place a couch table aleast 5 ft back put up a row of book shelves place a chair with a lamp and side table (cozy place for reading a book.) then you place a wardrobe on the other side of the book shelves for your cloths you bed after that . this is just a basic idea be cause i don't know where your door windows bathroom or kitchen is with those thing i could give you a real lay out that would work well for you and you doggie. You can use dividers, either screens or hang drapes to seperate the areas.
Use area rugs also, they'll help cut down on noise plus will add warmth to your home. You can use wall hangings with different themes for each "room" of the house.

This are nice looking bookcases that are tall and see thru. It looks like a bunch a square cubes stacked and would make a nice divider for a headboard or anywhere else in your place.
