While Al-Qaida-Linked Gunmen staged Military-like Parades Friday in a string of towns West of Bagdad, Iraq, underlying the growing confidence of Sunni insurgents in a part of Iraq where US and Iraqi forces maintain a heavy counter insurgency presence. Also, like the Audacious show of forceby up to 60 Insurgents in
the City of Ramadi on Wednesday, less than a mile from U.S. Military bases!! Why didn't we get them then? Only serious need answer! Thanks!

Nothing has happened to our military might, we are just being to submissive. I thought, as a veteran we should have went in with military power and might, and worry about the collateral damage/deaths later, and do not charge our soldiers with murder, war is war.

The U.S. is in a phase down in Iraq. England and the U.S. have already given back a lot of territory back to Iraq. That town is under Iraqi control. That means it's the job of the Iraqis to control those things.

The terrorists are learning how to counter stealth technology and are learning America's weaknesses. Even if insurgents have high death tolls they will keep coming. A nuclea bomb would not work as well. The terrorists are everywhere.

We have politicians.... not I am not not talking Dem or Rep here.... just plain politics that require we use "ROE"... rules of engagement. If they pose no immediate threat.... well lets just say I think we are sending a very bad message.

It's called we are at war... lets just not act like we are warriors... we might offend someone.

Clinton cut allot of the budget for the military, I believe that has a big part of It.

"What happened to our military might?" is exactly what the redcoats must have said as they lost to a bunch of ragtag militiamen with "inferior" equipment, training and leadership.

Our military might is great for fending off attacks from an organized military like those maintained by many first world powers; but the advantage of our military might is significantly minimized by the tactics of 'asymmetrical' warfare, e.g. terrorism.
