Wow--sounds like he's a bit insecure. Um...if you are making every effort to show that you really like him, and he STILL doubts it, then you need to make a decision of if you want to keep reassuring him that you like him over & over & over again, or if you want to find someone who is a little bit more confident in who they are....There's really nothing "special" that you can do that would make him see it otherwise.

You need to find out what his expections are of you. You may think your doing enough, but he may not. Ask him what you can do (not say) to make him feel like you want to be around him. Now that doesn't mean you have to do it and if it's too much, then maybe you two aren't a good match.
I had a girlfriend and she used to say one thing and do the opposite. You don't understand that your saying that you do like him doesn't mean as much as you showing it.
So just ask him.

Ask him. Ask him if you don't believe me, what is it that I have to do to show you that I really like you. Also need to tell him that he needs to trust you that trust is a part of any good relationship and if you didn't like him and didn't want to be around him, you wouldn't be with him or hang out with him all the time. Good luck.

Wow. What I wouldn't give to go back to the days where my biggest realtionship problem was something like this. Girl, boys at that age (I'm assuming at the oldest16) say that to get you to be more physical towards them. It's a ploy to get some action. Stick 2 your guns, if he don't like it, then drop his ***.

Maybe he's just messing with you because he wants to do other things besides "hang out" when you invite him over....
