Apo-clonidine is the Canadian brand name for the drug clonidine (i.e. they are the same exact thing). In the U.S., the brand name is Catapres. But these are all the same thing.
It is mainly used for high blood pressure.
But it can be used for a number of other things, such as nicotine withdrawal (help to stop smoking), pain management, ADHD (unlabeled use), prevention of migraines, and also for hot flushes of menopause among other investigational uses...
Most common side effects are drowsiness, dizziness, transient itchy/red skin, dry mouth, and weakness.
Less common side effects are headache, sedation, fatigue, depression, nervousness, nausea, vomiting, and others.
