Yes I do simply by virtue of the fact that these rulers had children and therefore we would not have their decendants living among us. However, I disagree that most of the kids never lost their properties and wealth. In ancient times defeated rulers went off into exile ... some barely escaped with their lives, never mind their treasure.

In any event, it be nearly responsible for anyone living today to trace their lineage back as far as you are discussing. Those records would have disappeared a long long time ago.

Also, not all kings/rulers were rise. Just look at the current crop of rulers this world has to deal with.

First you need to define rulers, as rulers could mean several different things, however if you are refering to the behind the scenes movers and shakers of the world, then I would have to say there is no doubt in my mind that there are blood line connections. If on the other hand you mean a connection between say, Tony Blair and some ancient king I would have some serious doubts. Try searching a name like Sinclair and see what comes up, you might be surprised.
