i think thats a great idea. Did you know that there is a jewish custom to light a candle every week on the enter of the Shabbat (Saturday). So in a way lots of people light up a candle, on the same time, each week. Of course it would be even nicer if there would be also an international multiracial/religion lighting candle time. I don’t think it’s so far fetched. It’s something that can be decided, and anybody who would want to join in, could join in.

I guess it would be pretty. But considering how hard it is to get even three people to a meeting, I can't see it ever happening.

What color candle? How do we light it? Matches are against my religion! Candles are satanic! I'm afraid of fire! I'm only 4, my mommy won't let me play with matches! I go to the bathroom at that time, can we do it later? I have a doctor's appointment then!

And so on.

Oh and yeah, lighting candles are CATHOLIC! OMG! That's like, next to being like, satanic! OMG!

That kind of symbols won't change all the hatred that people feel inside. And you're running the risk that those people set the world on fire with the candles.

Some people can't afford candles, I'm sad to say. But then, my thinking that says more about my state of mind today then your positive and hopeful vision. :-)

What would be the point of that? Where's that found in the Bible...sounds suspiciously catholic to me.....I prefer to use airwick scented fans....at least they serve a purpose.

Sounds like a fire hazard to me.

No, I can think of a million other things it would be better for everyone to do together.

Yes and we could either pray for peace or wish for it.

It's a dream. To much of a fire hazard, IMHO.
