According to Genesis, when God created humans, He blessed them & told them to become fruitful & multiply & fill the earth & subdue it, & have in subjection all the animals (Gen. 1:22). When the earth was originally created (as well as humans), everything was perfect & paradise-like. We were to worship Him & live eternally in peace & loving conditions, while maintaining the earth. Unfortunately, because Adam & Eve sinned, all of the following generations were defected. It's as if imperfection were a birth-defect that was passed on to us. Hence, short life spans, illness, death, violence, crime, lack of love, war, etc.
Romans 5:12 talks about inherited imperfection, and 2 Timothy 3:1-5 tells us what the earth would be like as a result. John 17:3 tells us what we should do if we want to have hope. Yep, there's actually hope for us lowly humans. :) I recommend you look these scriptures up if you really want to know some answers. Sorry I rambled.

He created man for His glory, to worship and obey Him. He loves us as He made us in His image. He sees us as His precious creation, all of us including all the animals.

He created us to be disciples, people that will spread His word. He created us in His glory. For us to worship and glorify Him. This may seem selfish, but when we die, where do we go? Heaven or hell. It all depends on how we live our lives. Live for God, you get to be with God. And if that ins't enough, remember...
He died for us.

The closest thing to it on this earth is when a loving couple decides to become parents. If you have been one of those loving couples, you shouldn't have any problems understanding it.
