Galactorrhea is caused from excess prolactin usally (99% of the time) from a tumor on the pituitary gland.

i have a tumor causing excess prolatcitn . i took bromocyptine for a long time and now on another drug for the issue.

you should ask your doctor more about the cause of the Galactorrhea. i find it odd and disturbing he never sugested and mri or anything. request a specalist for pituitarys and make sure you find out the cause of the Galactorrhea. You need to treat the cause not just fix the symptoms.

the excess hormones do make it harder to get pregnant. but bromocrytine acts to curb that and in addition acts as a fertility drug.

but but but...my specalist and gp have both told me that as long as i am on the pill i will not get pregnat. they will not counter act each other.

you will not get pregant if you take the pill and bromocrytine. but i do recomend taking them at different times, because bromocryptine dose sometimes cause stomach/bowel problems which can interfer with the pill.

dont wory i have had this problem for 9 years now and have always been on the pill. it is no issue at all

but i must warn you when you decided you want children it will be very hard...if you can at all.

hope i could help

Well the first pills sounds more effective and right to the point then the second doctor, perhaps you should have mention what the first doctor recomended to the second even if u just mention the pills. And u should wait 24 hours to get different kinds of medicine it could have a bad reaction on you be careful.

Lactation produces a hormone that can stop or prevent ovulation. Your 1st dr is trying to stop the lactation, which should help you to ovulate, which in turn should also help you to conceive. I wonder why the other dr is putting you on birth control. You need to be ovulating in order to conceive, and the Pill stops that. I say talk to the 1st dr about the other dr's precription. You need to be following a uniform plan of action, and these two are in direct conflict.
