Please give your opinions on this.
My best friend is a girl (we are 15, im a guy). Everyone is always asking if we are going out or saying I like her or she likes me, theres almost always a rumor going round. Why is this? Does boy/girl best friends always look like this? We are both single if that matters.

you don't say how old your friend is, but if your 15 i will assume she is at least 14. for your first question, you are teenagers so yes there will be rumors if you want them or not. just say it's platonic. your second question. yes it does sorry. you say you are both single. if it stays that way it's up to the two of you, but try to keep you friendship, and don't worry about what people say about you behind your backs. i would keep each others families up on what is going on though.

You are probably just so comfortable with each other that you give off the impression that you are boyfriend and girlfriend. Or maybe there is some inadvertent flirting going on betwee you two. Also, people your age tend to love to gossip about 'who'se going out with who" and you would be an easy target for such rumors.

Most people make comments like that in jest, also it could be the way that you come off to others. However there is nothing wrong with having a girl as a friend, some people just like to spread rumours. Dont let them get you down, keep your chin up and tell them to piss off.
