Because Iraq is in an unstable area festering with terrorists. At least we have several (most importantly China and Russia who are more their allies) of the countries trying to keep Kim Jung Ill under control for now. Wave your Bush hating flag somewhere else please.

The U.S isn't in North Korea because of many reasons:
1. The North Korean army is one tough cookie. Say all you want about their technology being "outdated" but here are the facts:
North Korea has the 5th largest army in the world with an estimated 1.08 million personnel. Also it has the largest military personnel to general population ration, with 49.3 active troops per 1000 population. Since the regime spends 20 - 25% of GNP on the army, so the army has a huge numerical advantage when it comes to artillery, tanks, and APCs. They might be outdated, but in war, quantity beats quality (as seen throughout various conflicts).
2. There isn't much worth fighting for in North Korea. There are no oil or significant mineral deposits.
3. The terrain is rugged. The U.S Army's main crux, the M1 Abrams, won't be able to have an easy time as it did in the sand dunes of Iraq. Mountainous regions are treacherous for tanks.
4. The North Korean regime garners a lot of respect from the population, both out of fear and out of national pride. Therefore, the population will be hostile to any invasion.
5. You never invade a nation that is testing nuclear weapons. However good intelligence you have is, you cannot risk cornering the North Korean government into a tight spot because it might result in a deadly last gasp action... involving nuclear weapons.

Be patient, friend.
We are at war with Islamic terrorists; not North Korea. Islamic terrorists attacked us and we seek to defend ourselves from them and attack them where they live. We tried sanctions, damands, threats, and then we let 'em have it with kid gloves on. If this doesn't work, we may have to take off the kid gloves. Problem is, too many liberal wimps lack the stomach for it.
North Korea, on the other hand, has merely taken the first step. They've shown that they are a potential threat and they are defying sanctions. When we have exhausted our non-violent options, we'll take them to task. It may be a nasty job to tend with, but eventually, they will either comply or provoke an attack

China, Japan, South Korea and all of N. Korea's other "neighbors" are in more danger than we arer from N.K., they will deal with it. We will support them. The worthless UN did nothing about Iraq, so somebody had to. The UN will most likely not do anything about NK and the others will have to. Close the UN. Use the money spent on it to feed and clothe the homeless. Turn the buildings into a homeless shelter. Don't you Demorats ever think for yourselves?

It's something like this...We have China and Japan to help keep N.K. in check. We need to be in Iraq, not only for the sake of ousting Saddam Hussein, but in order to work on stabilizing the entire region. I think being in Iraq also allows us to keep Iran's nuclear ambitions suppressed.

Because they know that all the countries are vulnerable cause there troops are gone. + N. Korea hasn't caused any causalities in any other counties, so no ligament reason.
Also people think they just want attention.
