Just spending time with my husband & daughter makes me feel better...we will likely just sloth around the house, rent some good movies, & have some comfort food. It's suppossed to rain here all weekend. :)

Good question. We should always plan to do something like that. Otherwise, we risk getting into a rut.

I plan on working diligently on my homework for one thing, instead of goofing off and wasting time. This is important because I feel that part of my purpose in life is to learn about religion and to teach it (I'm in college studying religion). It is best to spend most of our times doing things that are purposeful. So just staying on task can be a big step towards maintaining peace of mind.

But I also might visit a church. I am going to various places of worship each week, as part of a learning experience. But while I attend, I'm not just an outsider. I do participate in the worship, because I believe that there are many valid ways of offering worship to God. I may not always agree with everything I see, but I try to respect the believers, and I almost always find that I can worship God in the various settings.

Another thing I'll be doing is celebrating Diwali. ;-)

as a manager of a group home for mentally ill adults I don't get many free weekends. i work six sometimes seven days a week. I read my Bible every day and spend at least 30 minutes in prayer, and listen to praise and worship music. So I will be doing nothing different this Saturday and Sunday--Just being me.

Train as a lector under the excellent tutelage of Father Lee at St. Richard's Episcopal. Attend Mass. Pray the Rosary and learn from it.

One way or the other (and hopefully the SO will be able to come along, but he's doing quite badly right now so it doesn't look good) we're probably going to the aquarium. Mostly for the reason seen right here-- http://www.newportaquarium.com/ --but also because I like going. It's peaceful being surrounded by fishes swimming around...My two little fishtanks aren't *quite* the same experience...

Pray that you will come back to your roots and a relationship Jesus as your Lord and Saviour.

His yoke is easy and his burden is light. He really wants nothing more than for us to accept his love as a free gift.

Don't let people get in the way. He's waiting to lovingly re-establish a relationship with you.

I hope you do!

God Bless.
