If you are referring to the dog that bit you, then it depends. Laws differ from state to state and it also depends on whether you were on the owner of the dog's property or not. If this is the first time the dog has bitten someone there is a CHANCE it won't be put to sleep, but like I said, it differs from state to state.

try to find the dog a new family, and some health departments will put him or her to sleep.

The dog will be tested for rabies, and if it tests negative it will probably be returned to its owners after being held for a certain number of days. If the owner doesn't want the dog, it will go to the city shelter. If it does have rabies, it will be euthanized.

Better question.

What will the dog do to the health department?

They will probably hold it for 10 days. Do you have proof that the dog has had it's vaccines? If not, they may put the down down, but if it has rabies it will die. Rabies is always fatal.

If the owner has proof of rabies vaccination, nothing.

If not, impound for 10days for observation and release.

As I said, you can't be that hurt ....type, type, type....and not off to a doctor

They'll more than likely torture him (burn his paws, lysol in his eyes, slit his ears, pour bleach down his throat, cut his tail off, put sand in his eyes, shove carrots up his butt, shove peanuts up his nostrils, etc.). This drives the tapeworms out, resulting in a health mutt.
