Truth, to me is what is true and common amongst ALL involved. I can lie to myself and others. One who believes in one religion, thinks all others a lie. The truth it seems, is perspective of belief and/or proof. Is God true? Prove it to an atheist...you can't until he finds God and thus believes. In the end...truth is what we make it.

The truth is the facts. It's also (for me) the Bible. It can also be something as changeable as our emotions. However we feel, regardless of whether it makes any sense to someone else, is still how we feel. I hate it when you have an emotional reaction to something and someone else tells you it's stupid to feel that way or they know what you're thinking or feeling and it's not what you told them. They might as well call you a liar. When it comes to facts, in order to be the truth, I believe they should be stated as happened and not embellished or have things left out.

Truth is the junction of two sets, three if you include the express declaration that it is factual (that is, simple statement with definate correctness value, either true or false), in my book.

Va | {a| truth}, {a| fact}, {a|correct}, {a| knowable}.

That is:

For all things in the set called 'truth', each thing is member of the sets: 'fact', 'correct' and 'knowable'

In short: truth is all those things we can state, are true, and knowable.

not much, truth is what every politician used car salesman or preacher pedals. The only valid use of the term is in logic. Even in logic it can be a pretty woolly concept at times.

Truth can't be anything. Truth is things as they were, things as they are, and things as they will be. Truth is reality, and there is only one reality. Many people may perceive this reality differently, but perception is not truth.

Before my life was changed by Christ the word truth meant nothing to me. Now it means everything in my life with Christ.

Truth= Jesus. He is the Truth.
As Kenneth Copeland puts it- there are many truths... there is only One truth- God is the truth.
