Well you guessed it, reno and I live miles away. But our love has withstood obstacles until recently when he asked me to be his lady inspite of the distance. I love him but i can't take it anymore. Should I start ignoring his phone calls and letting them go into voicemail. so that i can be stronger for my future goal called single and loving it? we are adults not teeny boppers by the way. but not old folgies lol!

If you truly love him, you can work something out. :-) Follow your heart...Give him a chance

I was in a long distance relationship and I had the same feelings after a while. I don't think you should ignore his phone calls and let them go to voicemail...you should tell him how you feel. He's not a mind reader and he'll wind up getting hurt if you ignore him. If you truly love him, just be honest.

Ignoring his phone calls and whatnot is not the way to deal with this. If the long distance relationship isn't working, then you need to tell it to him. If you want to be single and whatnot, then do it the right way and break up officially. Don't string him along to spare him his feelings; It'll only make things a lot worse in the end.

I have a similar dilemma, love someone long distance, but also wanting to be single and loving it, he has been immensely helpful to me and I truly don't want to hurt his feelings.
I think the best and adult way to handle this is to be upfront and tell him, that's what I am gonna do.
Broken hearts mend, we may cry, and move on, loving what we have shared and given to each other. Tough....Good Luck.

I'm kind of in the same position.

We talked on the phone and chatted for a year. He finally came to my state to meet me. I had felt I was in love with him, but he kept telling me I couldn't be, because we hadn't met in person.
Well, he get's here and right away tells me he loves me!
NOW I'm freaked, cause I didn't realize he was so small.......in everyway!! I'm not turned on by him any more, and I'm affraid of telling him it won't work, cause I need someone to talk to once in awhile and he's the only one that talks to me!

LET me know what you decide to do......then may be I'll do the same! LOL

Why would you ignore him instead of telling him how you feel? Why not just be honest with him about your feelings? You said you were an adult so act like it.
