Well they do like to have play mates, if you don't want your cat to go far off don't let it out. Your cat has made a friend so unless neither one is fixed and are different sexes you really have nothing to worry about.

Keep your cat indoors, and it won't be a problem. Is your cat neutered? If not, have it done before you have kittens.
