I need to lose some weight and want to begin a healthy lifestyle.
I do not want to join a gym and have no equipment to use. What can I do inside my home after my baby goes to sleep? Any tips or advice would be great.

Loads. The most fun one is just dnacing sillyly to your favourite music. Whilst baby is awake, depending on how old, I used to sit mine on my tummy whilst I did situps. Baby chuckled like mad. Pressups, leg lifts, star jumps, squats, lifting tins of beens, (bi cep curls), for your tummy do situps from opposite elbow to knee. This gets the obletes, the bit you really want to tone. I don't know if you are a single mum, like me, but sex is the absolute best, and it works so good!

I do pilates at home. You can buy a matte at walmart for 10 bucks and get videos at the library. Running is great exercise to but the best way is to buy a jogging stroller to take the baby with you and a good pair of running shoes. Pilates is great for toning but walking or running is best for losing weight. The jogging stroller would be a good investment. See if you can buy one used from a consignment store or thrift store or used sporting goods store.

aerobics is great for building stamina and losing weight. Try a video, or if you don't have one, try turning on a cd (not loud!) and dance. Follow with situps, pushups, and lifting using cans, then 1/2 gallon then gallon jugs of water. This could make a huge difference for you in a short amount of time.

Stairs is a great excerise. Quietly walk up and down your stairs for five minute intervals. Take a 3 minute water break and then do five more minutes of stairs. It's a great way to get your heart rate up, strengthen muscle, and without expending a lot of energy.

If you can't afford to buy videos, rent them at your local library for free. The advantage is that you have a variety to choose from and wont get bored. If they carry "The Firm," try those, they work great! Good luck and congrats on the baby!

You can buy things like weights and exercise videos. Or a treadmill if you want to spend a lot of money. A gazelle is less expensive if you want a machine.

Pilates is great for toning and can be done quietly without any equipment.
