I know how you feel, I feel the same way. I suffer from depression and having a very good gp has really helped. I am on medication which does help to a certain degree. A suggestion I found most helpful was to do some voluntary work. I do 1 day a week at the moment and find the responsibility helps keep me motivated for at least that day and I've even found my self-belief has improved. Try going to your gp,. I find talking to someone who isn't too close to me really helps and your gp won't find anything you say unusual or too petty. All the best, I hope this helps you.

Oh boy, do I know what you mean. You've just got to pluck up the courage and drag yourself out of it. I joined an orchestra and over a period of a couple of years, ended up joining local committees. I hadn't planned to do that, but it just worked out that way. I met a load of new people and even though at times I felt as though I was acting a role, it made me feel useful and the orchestra in particular, was great fun.
I've recently moved and left that life behind, so I've got to follow my own advice and pluck up the courage to start all over again. It doesn't get any easier!!!

There are two things... you can try something new - join a sports team (when I was in a rut, i started playing rugby - that REALLY got me moving!) or take a class, join a gym, learn to rock climb, learn to play an instrument - try something new that might open up the world for you a little bit
OR, you can try a few sessions with a therapist to talk about this. There might be something you don't realize is bugging you and you can work it out with a therapist. please consider it, it's not a sign of weakness, but a sign of strength that you have the nerve to seek out help for your issues.

No. The Bible (Jesus) by no ability promised us existence in this worldwide could be consumer-friendly. He promised He could by no ability leave or forsake us, that He could walk us by way of each and every trial, tribulation, and/or rut. all of us understand that that's no longer the main suitable be conscious. there's a time to come back whilst He returns and rules and reigns in this earth from New Jerusalem with righteousness, justice, love, and there will be not greater "ruts". that's the reason it rather is faith. faith is guy searching for God; yet authentic "faith" is God searching for guy.

Don't want to sound like some nosey social worker here, but it sounds as though you could be suffering from a bout of depression (been there since I was 18 - now 38) so I feel justified in saying so.
Get yourself off to your GP for a little chat, my friend. And I hope you pick up soon.

You're obviously depressed to some extent.
Is there anything that you still enjoy doing,no matter how small?...If so,try to keep that up.
Do you have family?...Maybe you could spend a little more time with them.
One of the best things for depression is good company.Choose something low-key though,so you won't feel too self-conscious.
Good luck.

was in the same boat for a long time. A friend recommended a vegetable extract called "chromium" . can be got in most good health shops for about €15 or £10.
Lifted the depression within the day and made me feel a lot better .
I'm still lazy but feel better about it

I feel the same most days, dont know if doctor is the answer usually they just give you a prescription. You have to just try and be strong, and push yourself to make changes but accept that it wont work everyday. I think you have been given some good advice on this page (I will be taking some for myself, thanks). Just try to stay positive, good luck X

Make a list (if you can be bothered) of all the best things in your life, and a list of all the bad (as you imagine). Every month turn one of the bad, into a good. Whoever you are - you can have a wonderful life. Consider. "I felt sick because I had no prospects, until I saw a child with no legs or eyes".
