im being serios btw so serious answers please.
many people keep comparing muslim countires way of living and choice to western ways, saying that muslim countiries dont allow this for us, why should we allow what they want? doesnt this sound rather childish, like a kid who says, so-and-so broke my toy, i was upset and thought it was wrong so i went and broke his toy, its wrong too but i dont care!
If you think someone else is being un-just, why do you want to be the same???
No stupidity please.
PS this is regarding anyone with this attitude, even muslims, because many muslims hav this attitude too!

Hello Stranger,
I liked your question, I also count my self as a 'some people' because i have an infinite ability to be childish. I still think the point you made is interesting and shows maturity. I think you're right because sometimes the difference between cultures is massive, and it seems to me impossible to bridge the divide. I understand why people would want to cover up but also i understand how this could be abused by people with power. I fear the possibility that this is being used at the moment to create an even bigger divide. This all just brings the rise and fall of Rome to mind and how the Romans tried to encapsulate everything in their culture. I wonder how it will all end. We have so many similarity's to Rome in the western culture at the moment.

If the people want to be Muslims let them be Muslims. If others don't, Muslims need to respect that. You may think western ways are wrong, and some people may not. Freedom is being allowed to believe what you want and not having others opinions forced on you. If Muslims don't like the western ways, they don't have to act like us. They must also not try to stop us from having an opinion.

The Bible isn't the only religious book that records a principle of and an eye for an eye. It's unfortunate that it seems this is the only lesson that the world has learned and that they only apply it to hurt or injury.
They have forgotten that holy books all speak of treating others as we would like them to treat us or as some would call it "The Golden Rule". Greed and self interest takes precedence over generosity and love.
So yes, people are so childish.

because some people were never allowed to grow up... they were taught one way and one way only, that everyone should believe the same and be the same. that we shouldnt question what we are taught. that we arent allowed to have a mind of our own or an imagination. (this is directed towards christian teachings)
if youd like to know where i go this info, i grew up in a christian school K-11th. we werent allowed to think for ourselves, we had to do what we were taught. we couldnt play games (such as pokemon or anything that had "magic" or anything fun for that matter). we werent allowed to question the bible (if we did most everyone including teachers would look at you with disgust and basically make you an outcast)

Its not childish to to defend the rights and the customs that this country has always held dear, and if people from other countries choose to come and live in britain ,i dont expect to change my way of life to suit them, they have a choice ,if you dont like it dont come ,but unfortuneatly we have a goverment that welcomes people that want to change our way of life whether you like it or not..so i moved out england because of this ,and i moved to Spain where i have lived happily for 6 years fitting in with there way of life, and not rocking the boat,i join in enthusiastically with there celebrations and customs, and i am learning the language ,this is now my home and i am happy to live the Spanish way of ,and the day i dont like it ,i will leave ,not try and change things to suit me.

We judge others by using ourselves as the basis. We think that Muslims are wrong, purely by our own views. And they view America in a different light then we do. Perception is key. No one likes to think they started the fighting, but all want to be viewed as the victim who is righting a wrong.
