why do people, who obviously don't speak english as a first language, try to post questions on here, even though they can't form an understandable question to save their lives??

People need to ask, so they can learn better. If they don't ask, they will never know the answer. Then they will never improve. And about what you said about them not understanding the answers they received, maybe they do understand, at least a rough idea of it. If they don't, they can always check a dictionary, no? Maybe they just sound dumb in their questions because they don't know how to phrase it properly. Maybe from the answers, they can learn about sentence structure and phrasing. Really, instead of complaining about other people's lack of proficiency in a language, don't you think their courage in asking questions and their efforts on improving English are commendable? Wouldn't it be better for you to actually learn from them and try picking up another language or two? It wouldn't hurt, would it?

Maybe because you only speak one language so that you don't know that people actually have to learn to type some languages(e.g. Chinese, Japanese.....) because of the characters they use in their languages. That's why a lot of people prefer to use English as it is much easier to type. Plus, a lot of them don't pretend they know English. This is not exactly a language site, right? Why can't they choose what language to use?

They are trying to learn another language or they want to gain knowledge on a certain subject.
I don't think it's a case of wanting to talk to someone they don't understand. They probably have dictionaries to look up words they don't know yet. Usually it's a lot easier to read a foreign language than to write one. Their questions probably make sense to them and it's hard for them to judge whether they are understandable to others. Only practise will teach them...
English is not my mother tongue but it amazes me how many spelling mistakes native English speakers make (I know this is off-topic, but I can't help mentioning it).

Because if you do not even risk speaking or writting a second language you will never learn it.
It is really funny, some people like you complain about inmigrants, who even do not try to learn english, but when someone tries it is also wrong, I wonder what is the right thing to do in your opinion.

Could you not turn the coin around and see how great it is that they are even trying? Are you trying to learn another language? Do you feel that only fluent in the language can write in here? Besides that a LOT of mistakes are written in here from red blooded Americans who never did learn to spell

You can't blame them for trying. When anyone is learning another language, they have GOT to take risks and make mistakes.
The best thing to do is appreciate that they tried, and type the correct way to say it.
***I have noticed that there are many english speakers here who SLAUGHTER the english language. They have no excuse, do they? :0>

They won't be asking questions if they know the answer. It's all about learning and trying. If you don't understand the post or don't feel like responding, just don't.

What I want to know is why people repost questions. It seems even sillier when they copy comments they made that are irrelevant to the second post.
