I have written some: "You Are My Grown-Up Baby Girl," or "You Are My Darling Little Girl." adaptable to appropriate age. I have it on a CD. Now I wish I had a web site so you could go to it. Maybe I'll look into CD Baby. My email address is: glsemail05-songs@yahoo.com in case you want further information.

There are a few I can think of, some go with different situations...

"Goodbyes (The Saddest Word)" by Celine Dion is about a mother who is dying, very touching...

"A Mother's Prayer" or "Miracle" by Celine Dion as well... There are probably a few from her Miracle CD as they are mostly songs relating to children/motherhood.

"Bigger Than Me" by Aselin Debison is a cute song, mostly about how the world is a big place, and the difference one person can make in helping someone grow, comfort them, etc...

"Where You Lead" the reworked version inspired by The Gilmore Girls tv show... by Carole King. The live duet with Carole and her daughter Louise Goffin is on The Living Room Tour CD, and the theme song version is on the Gilmore Girls soundtrack.

"Child of Mine" by Carole King. An oldie, but worth a shot I think.

"Mama" by the Spice Girls is actually a nice song, lots of people probably wouldn't give it a shot, just because it's by the Spice Girls, but whatever.

"Mama" by Il Divo, has some nice lyrics too.

Mother sings for you when you are child.
Daughter's song is very nice for you now.
Everything happens in a different stage and this is life.

I think it's called, "My Daddy Loves His Horse And The Man At The Bar."

I think it's by Clint Black...or...maybe Brooks and Dunn

What are you doing for the rest of your life. Don't know who sings it, but it's good for any parent/child relationship.
