I haven't seen much bashing. Maybe you're just being oversensitive.

Your comment about the church threw me off. Christian bashers as in bashing the Christian faith, which is what I first thought. But that, with your church comment, didn't make much sense. After all, why would a non-Christian go to a Christian church (which are located on every corner). Or Christian bashers as in Christians who bash others. This made a little more sense with your church comment.
My answer to both is simple. There are people who hate and mock others because it makes them feel better for their insecurities. If they were more secure, then they would have no problem with those of another faith (be it Christian, Islam, Wicca or Atheist).

There are lots of bashers here in general. Most people here are Christian...therefore the majority of bashers will also be Christian. It's a human thing more than a Christian thing, I think.

Oh get over yourself. We're all here happily bashing each other. The christians bash the atheists saying atheists need faith, the atheists bash the christians saying christians need a brain, the muslims bash everyone and threaten to blow them up or at least spam some more.
Mostly, the pagans, agnostics, and buddhists just sit back and go about their business as if there wasn't a culture war going on here. Gotta respect that.

About .0005% of corners I have seen had a church. The thing is, Christians do/have done more bashing than anyone. They are bringing it on themselves.

I don't think it is so much Christian bashing as it is against the Evangelicals. I was raised Catholic and have always considered my spirituality to be a private matter---between me and God.
Evangelicals not only try to force their beliefs upon others, but seem to insist upon vocalizing judgmental views. People don't care to be judged by holier-than-thou strangers!

The Christians bash the atheists, they retaliate, and both camps bash the Muslims. A few Muslims strike out at the Christians( they essentially leave the atheists alone) and everyone else just sits back and laughs at all of us.
Everyone here takes their licks. If you open your eyes, you'll see it.

Christians have been being "bashed" since Christ was himself "bashed" by those who were living then. He said it would happen..."if they have hated me, they will hate you." So sad, considering there is so much love in Him and His followers. But in the end it is love that will prevail, for "love overcomes evil." Keep the faith!
