You will not get the HD channels without the HD box. The box is usually only $5 a month. These channels are only copies of existing channels however. So you won't miss out on content, just quality.
And the box comes with cables.

You need to get the HD cable box to receive the HD channels.

No way,you'll only get a better image quality thats all.The channel and box will be the same
