Its funny, if you ask a Christian,"how did the universe get here?" They will tell you God made it. They will also tell you the Big Bnag is crap. Something cant come from nothng. I have seen that type of answer many, many times on this site. But yet, you ask this question and the answers you will get are "he has always existed" So basically, he come from nothing.
So the answer to your question is that God HAD to be crerated by something. He just didnt just show up from nothing.

Where did existence come from? Where did this universe come from?
Even the most brilliant scientists have to confess that ultimately, something must be self-evident and self-existent. Otherwise you get yourself into an infinite regress. Where did the big bang come from? Where did the thing that the big bang came from come from? You can ask forever. Even if you rely on "it is a cycle the repeats itself" you can ask, where did the cycle come from?
Like I said, everything comes down to the fact that something has always existed, and whatever that one thing is, it is self-existent. Because its self existent, it has no beginning or end. It just is what it is.

God had no beginning and has no end. God always existed. Job 36:26 reads: "Behold! God is more exalted than we can know; in number his years are beyond searching."

himself - nobody created God - God is self-existant
if you want more of an explanation read one of R C Sproul's many books on the subject of the self-existance of God. He explains it better than I could.

"God" might always have been there. The question should be where did we and this illusion of materialism and linear time come from?
