In cubist artworks, objects are broken up, analyzed, and re-assembled in an abstracted form — instead of depicting objects from one viewpoint, the artist depicts the subject from a multitude of viewpoints to present the piece in a greater context. Often the surfaces intersect at seemingly random angles presenting no coherent sense of depth. The background and object (or figure) planes interpenetrate one another to create the ambiguous shallow space characteristic of cubism.

the cubism is an interesting style. the artist creats such pic. wich are fictional and gives other shape for each object. The cubism is an art wich works with sharped formes like the cube ore a trianlge mostly i s just 2D pic.
I love art but I am more realistic one so I like renesance pic.

I loved the fracturing effects of cubism, it gives them so much emotion. One that I always think of is Guernica by Picasso, the figures are broken down into flat planes which are in turn distorted to the juxtaposed plane of the next figure. The picture contains news text to make the subject (the bombing of a Spainish town) refer back to the present (the newspaper). It is such a savage picture, pure violence that shatters everything in its path is visible by the broken and twisted figures.

It's another way of looking at and interpreting the world. It's an historic look and about all there is to do with it, has been done. What is art? It is the markings of a person dedicated to doing this activity every day, a personal quest for truth and understanding.
