I am going to take a trip to Venice during Thanksgiving. It will be my first time to that area. So besides all the street performers, artists, and Muscle men -- what else is a 'must-see'??

The promenade is a good spot but you will see more artists and performers along with some stores to shop at.. Visit the Santa Monica Pier, it's the pier with the roller coasters and amusement park. You see a few performers not as many, but you can also enjoy rides and food. Santa Monica is next to Venice Beach,

Personally I would be very careful. This is a high crime area with many gangs around. I would go with the Santa Monica suggestion and check out the pier instead.
