The fight is at Light Heavyweight. 15 rounds. Two of the great Light Heavyweights although they never held the title at this weight classification.

Brad, he lost to first bout then rebounded to win three of the next four bouts against the great Greb, the result of the other bout being a draw. Tunney was truly incredible and in my mind an underrated fighter as is Charles.

Great matchup sir! I was thinking about this match myself but you beat me to the punch ha, ha! Tunney was a masterful boxer who could punch and counter punch very effectively. He also had good footwork in the ring. Charles who was a very underrated fighter with great overall skills in the ring and of course gave the great Marciano his toughest fight. I believe that this fight goes the distance with the clever boxing of Tunney earning him a close decision victory.

Tunney - W 83 (KO's 49) TF 88 - W pct 94% - KO pct 56% - wins over Greb[2], Dempsey{2}, Levinsky, Carpentier and Gibbons - KO'ed by none - #30 ranked fighter
Retired as an undefeated Hwy wt champ
Good defensive fighter - He patterned himself after Jim Corbett (good foot movement)

Charles - W 89 (KO's 49) TF 115 - W pct 77% - KO pct 43% - wins over Maxim {3}, Walcott, Louis. Bivins and Moore[2] KO'ed by Walcott, Marciano and 3 other average fighters - #13 ranked fighter

This is a hard one to call, both men beat an all-time great fighter twice. Both men are counter punchers which will make for a boring fight. Even though Charles lost 25 bouts and Tunney lost only one, Charles is ranked higher. Charles fought and beat better fighters than Tunney. A ho-hum bout that results in a 15 rd draw with the fans not getting their monies worth.

The Cincinnati Cobra vs. The Fighting Marine.
Great matchup. Intriguing and innovative having them fight at 175.
I'd have to go with Tunney.
We're talking about Charles that lost 25 fights, albeit only 5 below 175, vs. Tunney that only ever lost one fight, a 15 round decision against Harry Greb.
