It is a catholic belief that any form of birth control is a sin.
I don't believe that any other faith states it that way though.

I recently had my tubing disconnected and I do not think I sinned...what should be a sin is parenting a child and not providing for that child and there is nothing in the bible that prohibits it.

Sin is a concept created by religion to control people. The only "sin" is failing to follow the truth of your being and letting other people's concepts of who you "should" be run you.

well according to the catholic religion it is.....anything preventing u from having a baby is a sin/.......getting your tubes tied is just like taking birth control pills...

I know a few people who would say it is, but I think not. I do know a very devote Catholic who had her tubes tied to save her life.

Yes. Christians believe any form of birth control is a sin. Of course this rue has been altered so that Christains may use birth control,now its no longer a sin to all Christians,because "God understands".

absolutely not. It is a sin to bring a child in this world if it is unwanted or unloved. I am not saying that you will not love the child if get pregnant, but if you are ready to not have any more kids, it is your choice to do as you please. God gave us the means to do it and the brains to make the right choice.
