Your pet dog or cat can be tested for pregnancy with a simple blood test, similar to a home pregnancy test, after approximately 30 days of pregnancy.
The only way to accurately determine the stage of pregnancy is to count days from the time of breeding. If at all possible, the breeding date(s) should be recorded. The mother should be examined three weeks after breeding to confirm her pregnancy.
The earliest method of pregnancy detection is ultrasound—a nice test because it is noninvasive and very reliable. Fetal heartbeats can be detected at around the 25th day from first breeding.
Most experienced veterinarians can determine pregnancy by simply feeling the dog’s abdomen during a certain a window of time—about 20-30 days after conception.
Signs of pregnancy:-
-In the 4th week you may notice thickening of her sides, between her ribs and hip bone.
- Increased appetite.
-Swollen abdomen.
-Own a stethescope to hear the fetal heart sound after six weeks old.
-vulva will stay slightly swollen after their heat ends
-You will notice a big change in her temperament. She may get quieter or lazy or more loving
- Teats will be more pronounced and hard.
p.s. A pregnant dog should be fed a formulation of a premium brand of dog food for the duration of the pregnancy and through the nursing period.

I would recommend you to go and see you vet, because this may be a sign of a ripped tissue or a damaged muscle inside her after she gave birth. You might of not noticed, but she might of had complications while giving birth and it made an internal damage. If it is the case your vet will be able to close it back and stop the bleeding. Do not wait long to have it checked because it can cause other problems. I hope this will help you in making your decision.

I found out that my dog was pregnant when she got much larger, her teets were really big, and she could not run up the hill to play with us. We got the dog from a friend and he had told us that she was not able to have pups. We were very surprised.
It is possible though that something else is wrong. Keep a close watch on her and if she doesn't have pups or if she gets worse, then take her to the vet. If she does have pups and you don't want them, get her fixed before it happens again.

go to the vet...why are you so against that? If your dog is not spayed and you were irresponsible enough to allow her around a male dog while in heat, or even worse, put them together, then you should be a big enough person to suck it up and pay the vet bills to properly care for her when she's pregnant (or to even find out). There are lots of things, like extra nutrition, that need to be done as soon as possible if she is pregnant. Just go the vet!

Guess what... you can't! I don't know any home pregnancy tests for dogs, you could try the human ones (lol). But seriously, the vet must check the dog. Be a responsible pet owner!

If you have never experienced this before and don't know what you are doing... no one on here is going to be able to explain it to you enough to ensure nothing bad happens!!!
Call you vet and get your dog into him/her so proper information can be passed on to you!!
