has anyone used topamax successfully? did it help you?

I take it for migraines too, and it does work miracles. I love it! (but she's right, it is typically diagnosed as an anti-seizure medication)

Let me tell you this. I tell people that I would NEVER go back to my old life before topimax. I used to get the worst migraines , at least 3 times a week, now I don't get any. I used to take 15 aleve at a time and up to 30 a day. Now if I get a headache at all which is rare, 2 extra strength tylenol is all I need.

don't know what you're wanting to take it for - I think it's primarily an anti-seizure med. My daughter takes it for migraines, and it's done wonders - she hasn't had a bad one in a couple of months!

My husband took it for awhile for seizures. It made him paranoid and a little crazy. Hes usually a very good normal person. went to doc took him off all was well. look it up on net lots of bad reports

It works very well for migrains. It is prescribed for other reasons also.
