I usually just let him ask me my name(which is fake.lol), finish my drink/food, get up, and say, "I'm sorry but I have to go now.*smile*"

Well, you know it's hard to tell sometimes if they actually want that seat OR just an excuse to talk to you. So I just say, "yes" all the time. You can never tell...
Won't you be a fool if they are actually with someone who is ordering food?

Yep, that's pretty much what I do, unless he's really cute. LOL.

Hey, as long as I don't own it he can sit if he wants to. However I have the option of getting up if I feel like it or just sitting there and keeping myself preoccupied. If he asks something I'll mumble a reply. Usually its a one word answer. Its a sign that I'm not interested right off. Some can be persistent so I just flash a half smile and leave.

well, i just let them sit, for etiquette reasons or being courteous anyway. though of course there's this fun of little flirting if ever the person who sits is a cutie...if that person was being w/ someone, makes u feel uncomfy (or maybe stupid), just tell that u're still waiting for another friend to arrive *lol*

That's mean! If you don't want him to sit with you, say no, or no, sorry someone is going to sit there. You don't have to lie to him and then leave!!

Nah, tell them you are waiting for someone, which technically would not be a lie.
