There are several cars smaller than the Camry in the Toyota lineup: corolla, yaris, and all the scions for instance. However, I wouldn't choose the corolla over the Camry for anything other than budget. Camry rides fantastic, has loads of room, and gets great milage.

If you haven't driven a Camry lately, do yourself a favor and do so.

My 2007 Toyota Corolla LE was excellent on recent 1,000 mile trip. Good gas mileage and comfortable ride. Camry would be good too, a little heavier but my 1996 Corolla was so good for the 10 years I drove it, decided to get another but a little bit upgrade.
