Ok, that is REALLY bad. No offense.
I would first talk to the teacher, and ask him/her to explain why you got those answers wrong. Hopefully he/she will be understanding and help you out. Second, I would ask around to see whether your school has any peer tutoring programs. Third...ask your parents. If that doesn't help, ask if there is a remedial course that you can take to improve. As a last resort, ask your friends.

and what percentage did you get right?. Kelly, there are plenty of little tips that clear the smoke away from the question. Take percentages. 21 out of 60 - what is the percentage. 21 per hundred of 60. 21 x 100 divided by 60 = 35 %. How many did you get wrong as a percentage. 39 of 60 = 39 X 100 divided by 60. (you should already know the answer from your last ) = 65%. The reason you should have known, was that if what you got right was 21 out of 100 (35%), then you got 39 wrong out of 100 (65%).........35 plus 65 = 100. Try a few more yourself and good luck.................

Times GCSE Maths is available on cdrom and gives you the whole syllabus, short tests, longer tests to see if you are ready for the exam all in a multimedia format. It is available on ebay and if you can get hold of the earlier 'Aircom' version (or 'Life') even better because the guy doing the voiceovers has such a good voice. I think the voiceovers are missing from the later versions, but they do help you stay focussed - it is very difficult to wander off for a tea break while he's talking to you.

It is broken up into chapters so you can pick the ones that match the classwork you are doing. It is the pack with a jigsaw piece on the cover.

It is all about how YOU feel about a subject. 90% is about your confidence and determination to succeed. I got 3% for an algebra exam once. Changed teachers and the first day I walked in his class he said to me "You will get an A". I went back to the beginning and built on the foundations. BELIEVE you can do it and you will. Good luck. By the way, today I am a Maths teacher and all my children LOVE maths.

You need a personal Tutor who will spend the time to show you HOW to do things, you need to learn the tips and tricks, and maybe think of Math as something else.
