You are in a tough situation. Alot of bad breath is caused by plaque on the tongue. A tongue scrapper is wonderful. You would be surprised what is on your tongue and how badly it smells. I would purchase a tongue scrapper (very cheap at drug stores) and either leave it on this persons desk or tap it on to their car door handle. They will get the hint and use it. No confrontation but the point will get across and your nose will say it is worth the $3 investment

Don't offer gum Offer sex. When you guys are close in bed say "hey can you do something for me before we do this?" He will ask what and you just tell him to brush his teeth or gargle with mouthwash. He will Gladly do it and after the deed is done he will be expecting more so he will always have nice fresh breath just in case it happens again. Or you can just say " Look dude I'm your friend so I need to tell you that your breath stinks" Which ever is easier for you to do.

Does he have a girlfriend? Sometimes it's best when it comes from someone like that... or you could write his mom (if he lives with her) an anonymous letter that says please make sure your son uses mouthwash before he goes to school...

OORRR, if you have his email address, you could send him an email from an anonymous account and say "Hi I know you from school/work/wherever, and there really is no easy way to say this, but many people have noticed during the day that your breath doesn't smell the best... I care about you so I didn't want to tell you this to embarrass you but to help you. I know that if it was me I would want someone to tell me. So, just a heads up... Don't worry about it, it happens to a lot of people! See you around!"

It's quick, simple, and probably won't hurt his feelings...

Leave a trail of tick tacks or little green gum squares (add post it notes with arrows if he isin't all that bright) leading from his cubicle to the bathroom and carefully place a tooth brush and toothpaste and some of those little digestive breath bubbles on the sink in the bathroom waiting for him to get there... If he doesn't get it, then he is not only gross but a total idiot!

I guess it would depend on how often you are in the company of this person and how important you feel that you should be the one to tell him.
A good and trusted friend is probably the best person to tell him. Why not talk to his best friend and suggest that he tell him in a diplomatic way that others have mentioned that his breath is unpleasant and that if brushing his teeth is not correcting the problem that he may want to make an appt. with a dental hygienist.

oh noooo... you damaging element. you have accomplished each and every thing i could propose, yet i think of it feels like this boy desires some scientific help. consistent halitosis is a demonstration that something is incorrect together with his wellbeing. the two he desires extra water or is lacking a nutrient someplace. do away with all junk foodstuff out of your place and positioned across him a great number of glasses of water. when you have been at the same time for a on a similar time as, you're able to be able to ask him if he's been to the physician at the instant. while he solutions "why?" you're able to be able to declare "nicely, i spotted your breath is fairly reliable and that i'm worried, often it somewhat is a demonstration of a few form of ailment and that i'm apprehensive approximately you." This in ordinary terms somewhat works on somewhat close pals and fans, so do no longer attempt to apply that on like, coworkers or something. yet I do desire he does something approximately it, on your sake. this is no longer uncommon for romances to end as a results of fact one individual is made unattractive to the different as a results of fact of something like that. it somewhat can kill the relationship.

offer him some trident gum for ex: speriment trident gum. Or maybe just take him aside and say i know you probably brush your teeth and all but maybe you should use mouth wash too bc just brushing you teeth is not working bc you breath still smells some and that happens to alot of people but this may help it not to smell as bad. but try to say it as nice as possible.

simply pull him to the side and tell him. Don't do it in front of anyone else. Just tell him you consider him a friend and want him to know how his breath smells. Most of the time people don't realize thier breath smells. If he does already know then maybe he doesn't care.

In a jovial comment the next time he is close enough for you to smell his breath say "I could still smell your lunch today what did you have? " then offer him some tic tacs or gum and say I don't know if anyone around here likes that particular food or not this could help hide it.

My mother always told me to never refuse a mint or gum from anyone who asked me if I wanted some. This is a good way to fix the problem gracefully. Offer the person a mint or gum. Make sure the gum or mint is INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH! :)
