I've been with my boyfriend for several months now, and we both love each other sincerely, but my problem is this : recently ive been having major mood swings ( ive been able to control them a bit more in the past) but now its like i can go from being Angry to happy to tearful in a matter of minuits, and this has really affected our relationship, and i feel like im bringing him down... My question is this: Should i let him go until i get over my issues or should we just try and get thru this? ~Please help me, i need all the advice i can get, thank you~

You should talk this over with him and see if he is willing to work this out with you. He might be willing to go through a change and be by your side through this hard time... and of course this might be pushing him away but you won't know. Are these mood swings due to him? If so then you might need a break. You have 2 things you need to figure out: Why the mood swings and how he feels... dont let go of something based on how you think he feels... find out. And if this is something that is hard for you to address... write a letter. It helps. Hope I helped... GOOD LUCK

Maybe you need medical help. The test of a true friendship is whether a person stays through the hard stuff. Go to a doctor and see why you are having mood swings in the first place.

Well. Relationships are supposed to be able to work together, but a lot of the time you just need to do something on your own, such as this. If you explain to him whats going on and that you cant control it, he should understand and try to stick with you through it. Talk to him about what you should do, and if you decide i break is needed in order for you to regain yourself then do it, but otherwise, if he thinks you can work through it together, do that. It should be a team effort, and a decision you make together.

I think you should def seek counseling or see a therapist. It seems you are not ready to be in a relationship when you have your own issues to figure out. Maybe just remain friends, so u can take the time to take care of this. If he cares, then he'll wait and respect your decision. When you are ready, you will know. and if he's still there then that's how it was meant to be, if not, that's ok too.

Are you 'heavier'?
I ask this only because I had my Thyroid removed and this is only part of the problems I had. Hot, cold, happy, sad, hungry, not hungry...and then the next minute I was...
Anyways, the uncontollable mood swings can be a Thyroid imbalance.

Talk to him. Tell him how bad you feel about how this is affecting him. You might be surprised at how understanding he can be if he knows you care about his feelings.

Next, see a Dr. You've probably got a hormonal imbalance of some kind and it might be easily fixed.

Good luck.

get through it together, that's part of a relationship--you might check with Dr to see if you are bi-polar-there are meds to treat it, and as long as you take it right, should help your mood swings
