Do you use cruise control in the rain? I've heard it's not safe to use it on wet roads. I use mine all the time...wet or dry.

As long as you keep your speed safe, and are ready to brake when needed, youll be fine. The cruise control disengages as soon as you hit the brakes.

I would recommend not using the cruise control in the rain simply because it is harder to get a "feel" for the road with it on. When you are actually controlling the throttle, you will have a better feel for wheel slippage, and thus you will be able to correct the problems if they occur. Also, not having cruise on will make you more attentive to the road.

Never use cruise on anything but dry pavement. All the answers that say no are valid. Those who use it on wet roads are looking for trouble. The wheels WILL spin and you have no control. Puddles do occur even in light rain and lift the tires.

It's not safe in rain. The reason is that if you start to lost traction, which can occur on wet roads, your car will automatically accelerate--sometimes to super high speeds--and once traction is regained it will propel you forward out of control. It's best to lose the cruise control during rain. It could save your life.

NO
If you were to hydroplane then you would have to hit the brake to turn it off,and hitting the brake during a hydroplane is not advisable.
It could potentially make the wheel's continue to spin since the computer doesn't know that it's out of control.Modern cars have safeguards that wheel disengage cruise once an ABS glitch is noticed, but who knows if the wheel speed sensor will trip it at the correct time?
It is not very safe to use cruise control in wet/icey condition's.
